Supply & Demand - Orchard Gateway

Had a girls night out at Supply & Demand in town.
Recommending this place for dates or girls' talk because the ambience is really good!
Quite affordable as well since there is a current promo where the 3rd main is at 50% off!

Not a fan of their carbonara because it is freaking creamy! Yucks, I think I'm lactose intolerant because I will LS and vomit after drinking milk in the early morning.
I can't stomach creamy stuffs like icecream as well fml...
The girls love it though

My fav here - PIZZAS!
Me thinks the pizzas are a must-try at SS & DD (lol using my rusty econs terms)
I enjoyed this the most

Chicken as prepared as the Chef deems fit
Uh, not my kind of dish.
The chicken was tough. I just don't like the sauce that accompanied it.
This dish tasted pretty weird to me.

Regardless of the food, I'll probably head here someday again with boyfie!

Koh Grill & Sushi Bar - Wisma Atria

I don't think I'll get too sick of jap food unless I have it everyday.
I'm considering going to Kyoto, Osaka and Nagoya in Oct..plans are not fixed yet though.

Anyway, I'm aware of the hype with Koh Grill & Sushi Bar, particularly their famous shiok maki.
From what I know, that shiok maki is damn bloody shiok.

So, we queued for around 15+ minutes on a Saturday evening before getting a seat.
Here's what we ordered:

Their famous shiok maki was disappointing!
So was their pitan maki.
The sashimi was not very fresh as well.

Furthermore, their service sucks. The waitresses seemed impatient and unfriendly.
Total damage: ~$75

I kept comparing the dishes to The Sushi Bar and I really prefer the latter so much more!
Till then!

The Sushi Bar - Far East Plaza

My bf and I love Asian food, especially Japanese food.
When we were in town after my epi-lasik consultation, I brought him to The Sushi Bar at Far East.
Er, by right I shouldn't be indulging in seafood after my surgery.
Erhem, but I went ahead. Well, I only nibbled a bit of the sashimi from my bf's dish :P

Anyway, when we reached at 1230. There was already a queue.
You know things are good if there's a queue (okay, not really. Refer to my post of 49seats)
You know, on that day, I wasn't able to see clearly because my eyesight was still improving.
While my bf was queing, I told him I'd go and check out if there're a lot of people in the restaurant.
When I went in front, I couldn't see properly and went back to tell my bf that the restaurant is full. HAHA, cause I thought I saw a lot of people seated.
Turns out, it was rather empty -.-'''

Anyway, we got our seats around 20 mins later.
Food was served really fast.

I love the soft-shell crab sushi! It's so delicious I'm salivating as I type.
Bf's chirashi don. He loves it, but I'm not a big fan of sashimi.
According to him, the don is really worth it's price!

So, head over if you love sushi.
Everything is NETT.
Awesome for cheapos like me hehehe

49seats - Slow service

Chanced upon 49seats on my instagram feed and decided to try it out since it was near my office.
My concluding statement: disappointing service and food.

There's a lot of hype, judging from the long queues.
But, the food was sub-standard. Perhaps I didn't order their signature which was the tom-yam pasta.
I ordered the smoked duck aglio olio which I got sick of after 2-3 mouth.
It was way too oily, not the kind of aglio olio I'd fancy.
Furthermore, they had the "no free water" policy, which meant you had to pay extra for water.
Zzzz.

We were pissed off with their service as well.
The food came really slow for my friends, and the attitude of the staff needs to improve.
The staff does not seem to be friendly to each other, which pisses us off because they showed their black faces to us as well.
WTH.

I'd never go back again.
