I do hope hawker food continues till I'm old, but apparently, many hawkers are retiring their businesses because nobody wants to take over.

"It's difficult and tedious," they say.

Went to the ABC Brickworks hawker centre near IKEA Alexandra

There's a lot of food choices here, so take your time to choose.

Soyabean + Grass Jelly Drink my bf ordered. He's a weirdo. 70cents for this.

Famous Tiong Bahru Hokkien Mee. $5.

Drizzling lime juice all over. yums.

I remembered the last time we came, there was a rather long queue for the hokkien mee.

It was delicioussss

Not quite the same yesterday.

Perhaps the first always taste the best? (and I guess we were hungry then)

And, if you're looking for some Shanghainese dumpling aka Xiao Long Bao, try this

$4 for 6.

Overall, its passable, but I've eaten better.

There wasn't much soup in the xiaolongs (as I endearingly call it), but the meat was flavorful.

Not bad for a hawker fare.

Now, I'm craving for it again!
